Viltrox is proud to announce our official entry into the L-Mount Alliance, becoming the 10th member since the alliance was first unveiled at photokina 2018. This milestone not only reflects our commitment to building professional, versatile, and accessible lens systems, but also marks another step in our mission to empower you—the creators. By joining the L-Mount Alliance, we’re opening even more possibilities for your photography and filmmaking journey. This alliance isn’t just about a mount standard; it’s one of the most influential collaborations in the imaging industry, uniting brands like Leica, SIGMA, Panasonic, and DJI to give you a truly flexible and future-proof system.

 Viltrox Joins the L-Mount Alliance

Why the L-Mount Alliance Matters

The L-Mount Alliance, led by Leica Camera AG alongside SIGMA, Panasonic, DJI, Blackmagic Design and others, has reshaped the mirrorless ecosystem. It brings together premium camera and lens manufacturers under one common mount standard—delivering unparalleled compatibility across more than 20 cameras and over 120 lenses. For users, this means freedom of choice, seamless cross-brand workflows, and a constantly expanding ecosystem.

According to the official statement from Leica Camera AG:

Awesome! Really looking forward to having Viltrox lenses for the L Mount and will order the 28mm 4.5 for my S9 as soon as available :-)
I hope you will also bring the 135mm 1.8 to the L Mount – such a lens is currently missing and I would order one for my S1R II.

Hope you don’t forget aps-c lenses. The Air Viltrox lenses are perfect for both full frame and aps -c L-mount cameras.
