If only the back of my phone had a screen.

The problem

The Best Camera on Your Phone Is Often the Hardest One to Use Alone

The rear camera gives you the image quality you want, but once the phone turns around, framing becomes guesswork. That is a familiar problem for solo vloggers, livestreamers, mobile filmmakers, and anyone shooting a rear-camera selfie.

The Viltrox DC-T1 Professional Phone Monitor adds a large viewing surface behind the phone, so you can see your composition, check exposure, and interact with supported camera controls without repeatedly turning the phone around. No separate monitoring app is required.

Built for mobile creation

What You See Is What You Control

On supported smartphones, the DC-T1 touchscreen can mirror touch interaction back to the phone. Adjust focus, exposure, shooting modes, or other available on-screen controls from the monitor instead of reaching around the rig.

  • No separate monitoring app required
  • iOS users should enable AssistiveTouch for reverse control
  • Touch-control availability depends on the connected phone and operating system

Stable, Responsive Viewing without Wireless Pairing

DC-T1 receives video directly through a USB-C connection from phones that support DisplayPort video output. The wired design avoids Wi-Fi pairing, reduces common wireless interference and dropout risks, and delivers a responsive live view.

  • No Wi-Fi or Bluetooth connection is required
  • Phone must have USB-C with DP video output
  • Independent USB-C power input supports longer shooting sessions
Exposure made visual

False Color Turns Brightness into an Instant Exposure Map

Instead of interpreting a waveform, False Color assigns colors to different brightness ranges, helping creators identify overexposed highlights, underexposed areas, and usable exposure more quickly.

Read before buying

USB-C Alone Does Not Guarantee Compatibility

The phone's USB-C port must support DisplayPort video output (DP Alt Mode). A charging-only or data-only USB-C port cannot send a picture to DC-T1.

Check the official DC-T1 compatibility list before ordering. Models not listed should be verified with the phone manufacturer for USB-C DisplayPort video output support.

USB-C iPhone Models Only

  • Designed for compatible iPhone 15-series and later USB-C models.
  • Lightning-port iPhones are not supported.
  • iPhone 16e, iPhone 17e, and iPhone Air are not compatible.
  • Enable AssistiveTouch in iOS when using touch reverse control.
  • iPad touch reverse control is not currently supported.

Frequently asked questions

Before You Connect the DC-T1

The most important setup, compatibility, power, and mounting questions for first-time users.

No. The phone's USB-C port must support DisplayPort video output (DP Alt Mode). A USB-C port used only for charging or data cannot provide a monitor signal.

No separate monitoring app is required. DC-T1 connects directly with the supplied USB-C cable. Reverse control still depends on the connected phone and operating system.

Use a compatible USB-C iPhone and enable AssistiveTouch in iOS. Lightning-port iPhones are not supported, and iPad reverse control is not currently adapted.

No. DC-T1 can draw power from the connected phone or use its independent USB-C power input. When external power is connected, it can also provide up to 5W power to the phone.

The magnetic connection is designed for the supplied bracket. Do not expect the monitor body to hold securely on every phone or surface without a suitable magnetic plate or mounting accessory.

DC-T1 is designed and promoted as a smartphone monitor. Non-phone devices are not officially supported; DJI Pocket-series connections may display an incorrect image ratio.

DC-T1 includes False Color for exposure evaluation. It does not include advanced tools such as histogram or separate RGB channel scopes.
