Low distortion ultrawide

Sharp, low barrel distortion and well built. Top display very handy and easy to read. Fn buttons take a bit to figure out.

Excellent bargain , excellent lense but ..

For the price , it is excellent , nice build and finish . Very fast shipping from Viltrox store , I was happy to get it 2 days after placing my order . The lense itself is very good but I have issues with 3 things :
1/ In order to select Human Eye AF on the lense ( which is supposed to be compatible with my Sony A7IV ) , I must switch to " Animal " to get Eye detection . When switched on " Human" , I can only see the "face box" around human heads but no eye is detected . Weird .
2/ When I plug the lense on my computer via USB C ( for future updates ) , it won't be detected . I tried with different USB C data cable but nothing happens.
I hope these 2 problems will be corrected in the future .
3/ Not sure , but it seems like the lense draws power from my A7IV when the camera is Off . Even though my camera is on Airplane mode - wifi and bluetooth turned off . But again not sure if this comes from the lense but my other lenses don't draw power when my camera is Off .

Obiettivo stratosferico!

La cosa che mi ha colpito maggiormente di questa lente è la nitidezza a tutta apertura, io posseggo anche lo stupendo Sony 12-24 GM e messo a confronto il 16 mm Viltrox non sfigura affatto. Ottimo e celere servizio di spedizione da parte di Viltrox Store. Sicuramente continuerò ad acquistare obiettivi Viltrox.
