Why does the 28mm lens make a sound when shaken?

When powered off, it’s normal to hear a sound when shaking the lens. This noise is caused by the new VCM motor design, which works similarly to the camera's CMOS stabilization. The sound can occur even when the camera is not powered on, so there’s no need for concern. However, once the camera is powered on, the lens will properly calibrate, and any movement or noise will cease, ensuring stable operation.

What are the proper usage instructions for the Viltrox 28mm lens?

To ensure optimal performance:

  • Always open the built-in lens cap before turning on the camera.
  • Make sure to press the quick button to fully open the lens cap before use.
  • Avoid interfering with the lens during the autofocus calibration process after powering on.

Why is the front lens cap button designed this way on the Viltrox 28mm f/4.5 FE?

The lens features an innovative quick-release button design for the front lens cap. Simply press the button to open the cap and ensure it is fully opened by sliding the button completely. This design prevents dust and dirt intrusion while allowing for easy access to the lens.

What should I do if the autofocus is not working?

If the autofocus function does not activate, ensure that the lens cap is fully opened before powering on the camera.
