A good quality / value product from Viltrox

This is my 4th Viltrox and the first at this price level. It offers good quality optical quality in a very lightweight body and a reasonably compact design for a 1.7 lens. A good walkabout lens (but bear in mind it has no water-proofing defence). I'm enjoying it so far.

Great little lens for the price.

I recently sold my older Fuji 18mm f2.0 and Fuji 35mm f1.4 to get something sharper and quieter while still being small and light in the 23-35mm range for travel and everyday shooting on my X-T5. I know selling the 35mm is a controversial decision because people like the “character” of the lens. I purchased the Viltrox 25mm f1.7 for under $170. The Viltrox works well and the build quality is fine and I am happy with my purchase decision.
