Very nice

The lens is very sharp and surprisingly light. The autofocus is quite fast and accurate. The body is made of plastic, but it feels solid and well-built. Excellent value for money — a great choice for anyone looking for a compact and reliable lens for the Nikon Z system.

Great value

This is a surprisingly good lens for the price.
Sharpness is not even comparable to Nikon 40mm f2, especially at f2.
AF-C is more accurate on my Z5, while with the 40mm it was terrible.
AF-S seems to be inaccurate in low light which is weird because it was mostly accurate with the 40mm.
I wish it would focus closer for more magnification.

The best budget compact 50mm I have ever used! It's so light it feels like there is no lens on.
Furthermore, it is surprisingly sharp yet has pop to it without being overly clinical. It has that look that is hard to describe but it renders so beautifully both in color and BW. Really hard to not bring the lens for how small it is! Recommended for beginners and pros
