At first I was a little dismayed at the f/2.8 given the rest of the AIR series is generally more open and both SONY and Yongnuo have a competing lens at 11mm that are much more open, though a little less wide. But my gosh is the 9mm's perrforrmance at this size impressive even at f/2.8. Not great for darker places, and the camera can have difficulties focusing on far objects (since they are now so small with regards to the entire image), the focusing motor is definitely something you can feel (and might be picked up by a camera mic, though haven't personally tested that), but beyond that impressive sharpness, when things are in focus they are really in focus, distortions are so well handled it almost feelis like a Sigma lens, but lighter. Minimum focusing distance makes for wild photos, making even little cupcakes seem absolutely giant.
It is definitely a beautiful addition to the AIR series of lenses, can't wait to see what Viltrox cooks up next.

Lens is amazing with very little distortion! Close focus sits around an inch from the front glass which can make for some very unique shots!

great lens for travel but i sued it on my professional paid shoot like hotel and resto shoot for interiors. more valuable thna its price

Un supergrandangolo di piccole dimensioni e poco peso, quello che ci vuole per abbinarlo a una aps-c Sony. Con la mia a6400 ho ottenuto risultati fantastici: nitidezza e colore impeccabili, distorsione praticamente assenta. Il diaframma 2.8 lo rende utilizzabile anche in precarie condizioni di luce. Lo uso da una settimana e ne sono assolutamente soddisfatto.
