After the firmware Update of the NFZ Adapter to V1.21, it works perfect on my Zfc and Z30, with the DC AF-S lenses I have.
Aperture and Focus can easily be adjusted by the camera. Tested on Nikon Nikkor AF-P 10-20mm VR.
The manual lenses, like the old MF 35mm/2,0 AI-S, does fit, but you can not adjust manually nor with the camera the Aperture. Of course.
I do not think it is a firmware, I think it is a build problem.
If you need to adjust the aperture on the older AI/ AF-D lenses, use other MF adapter for it.
But if you need your AF-S/AF-P lenses with working AF, and Aperture, this adapter is a great choice.
Best regards
GJ
Tested with:
- works with AF-S NIKKOR 85MM F/1.8G
- works with AF-S NIKKOR 200-500MM F/5.6E ED VR
- cannot manually change aperture on Nikkor-P 105mm f/2.5. The mechanics locked the aperture at always wide opened.
Hopefully Viltrox releases a firmware to fix this. This seems like a not-that-hard fix.
Nikon Z50. Viltrox NF-Z firmware version 1.21
Werkt met mijn oude Tamron 28-75mm
Snel geleverd
I am using it for six months with Nikon Z6ii. This Viltrox NF-Z adapter does not work with manual Nikon lenses (lenses without CPU) because the aperture does not change neither manually nor through the dial.
Let's expect they could solve this through a firmware update.
Please have in mind that the original Nikon ftz adapter will work with fully manual lenses and you can change the aperture manually through the lens.
