How can I update the firmware of the 56mm F1.2 Pro?

The 56mm F1.2 Pro can be updated via the Viltrox Lens desktop client through a wired connection. Please refer to the PC firmware update guide for detailed instructions. For other lenses, see the Firmware Update Reference Table.

Does the 56mm F1.2 Pro offer faster autofocus performance?

Yes. Powered by a HyperVCM motor, the 56mm F1.2 Pro provides faster, more stable, and quieter autofocus than traditional STM or DC motors, while also reducing vibration and noise.

Why doesn’t the XF-mount version of the 56mm F1.2 Pro include a CLICK switch or AF/MF switch?

Fujifilm camera bodies do not support these functions, so the XF-mount version does not include them.

Is the 56mm F1.2 Pro’s aperture diaphragm driven by a VCM motor like the LAB series?

No. The 56mm F1.2 Pro uses an STM motor to control the aperture diaphragm.

What advantages does the 56mm F1.2 Pro have over the 56mm F1.4 C and 56mm F1.7 Air?

The 56mm F1.2 Pro features a larger aperture, higher image quality, faster autofocus, enhanced usability, and dust- and splash-resistant construction.

Does the 56mm F1.2 Pro support profile correction?

Can the 56mm F1.2 Pro be used with an E-Z mount adapter?

Currently, E-Z adapters are not fully compatible. Using third-party adapters is not recommended, as they may cause detection failures or unexpected issues. A native Z-mount version will be released in the future for full performance and functionality.

Is the rattling sound when shaking the 56mm F1.2 Pro a defect?

No. This is a normal characteristic of the VCM motor. Once powered on, the noise is reduced. The lens also features an internal damping structure to withstand everyday handling without affecting performance.

Which lens produces stronger background blur (bokeh): the 56mm F1.2 Pro on an APS-C camera or the 85mm F1.4 Pro on a full-frame camera?

When the subject size in the frame is the same, the 85mm F1.4 Pro produces stronger background blur.
