Crappy lens hood 27mm f.1.2 pro

Absolutely love this lens. The focal lens is wonderful and the aperture is fantastic for night photography. However, without the lens hood it tends to flare a bit on point lights. The lens hood is fragile and breaks easily. The tiny plastic bits along the inside of the hood broke soon after buying the lens.

It's unexplainable to a professional that such an important part of the lens cannot be replaced.

Viltrox be reasonable and change this strange policy.

I had heard a lot of positive reviews on this lens and decided to try it out. It definitely is a fantastic lens. Very sharp images. But it’s more than that, there is something about this lens that I really love… it has a beautiful quality of capturing images that seems to match my vision. I have since purchased the 56mm 1.7 and ordered the 75mn 1.2. I really appreciate what Viltrox is creating at this time. Thank you Viltrox.

Basically my favorite lens but needs the hood

Absolutely love this lens. The focal lens is wonderful and the aperture is fantastic for night photography. However, without the lens hood it tends to flare a bit on point lights. The lens hood is fragile and breaks easily. The tiny plastic bits along the inside of the hood broke soon after buying the lens. Eventually, the hood started falling off the lens. Then, I lost the hood. The lens is no where near as good without it. Viltrox does not sell replacement lens hoods. So, I can't use the lens how I want anymore & it's become a brick. I've been in touch with support several times to order a new hood. I'll pay for one! But, Viltrox won't sell it to me. Really a shame for such a wonderful lens.
